Of ebonized and gilt wood and red painted tole. The graduated three-tiered upper section of angular form to the outside, flanked on the bottom tier by pilasters, and lobed edges to the interior forming triangular reserves filled with ‘etruscan’ red painted decoration, the whole edged with gilt molding. The lower section fitted to the top with two drawers with gilt framed panels of painted tole each depicting a chariot scene with two drawer pulls on either side, above two doors with gilt framed floral painted tole panels. The doors above a band of foliate painted tole decoration surrounded by gilt molding, opening to a plain interior with two shelves, the whole raised on bun feet. Paint restored in places.
