Research
Of oak, later top of resin and brass, into which have been placed fragments faux specimens of minerals, centred by a square grid delineated, eight by eight compartments on each side, with samples in each of the compartments, the space between the edges of the grid and the table tops with larger and smaller samples of various shapes and colors, surrounded by a border formed of a brass band. The underside of the top and base older, circular, pedestal baluster turned and shaped, with turned circular base raised on three upscrolling legs with carved detailing.
