Of oak. Each side pilaster set with narrow faceted geometric moldings. The whole raised on a shallow plinth with ‘D’ molded top edge. Includes four shelves.
A UK West Country Collection.
This oak library cabinet bears the unusual feature of doors constructed with original wooden lattice grills, rather than the brass framework which typically fronted such cabinets. The filets of the grill are delicately formed with faceted sections, and joined by beveled square bosses at each intersection, a time consuming exercise whose aesthetic results render a highly original yet subtle aspect to the piece.
