Research

Of walnut and parcel gilt. The whole surmounted by a swan necked pediment carved with giltwood egg and dart moulding terminating in rosettes issuing carved fronds, the pediment centered by an elaborately carved cartouche decorated with foliated c- scrolls, the cartouche above a scallop shell flakned either side by curling fronds. The rectangular soft bevelled mirror plate shaped at the top enclosed by a gilt edge with stylised leaf decoration and within a moulded walnut border. The sides carved with foliated scrolls, pendants of hare bells and fruit, each side terminating in a scroll centred by a rosette. The plate above a shaped apron with a gilt edge centred by a carved scallop shell with flanked by foliate fronds.
