Of burr maple, ebony, inlaid with various woods. The circular dished top of Belgian fossil marble above a continuous frieze inlaid with shells and butterflies in various woods, the whole raised on three rectangular legs applied with ebony moldings and similarly inlaid with shells and sea creatures including newts and snails, each leg terminating in a castor. The legs united by an incurved platform base inlaid to the top and edge with shells.
