Research
Of mahogany with ebony inlay and finely worked gilt bronze mounts. The rectangular top with canted corners with conforming pierced three quarter gallery, the gallery of alternating quatreform and circular panels set to each side with gilt mounts of alternate stylized pierced vine roundel and foliate paterae, the canted panels set with leaf form star with berry springs, the gallery centered to each side with lozenge panel set with stylized leaf form gilt bronze mount in shape of a star, the top above a conforming frieze set to the front and reverse with three drawers centered by foliate escutcheons (one replaced) issuing ring handles, the canted corners set with gilt mounts of half figures entwined around a cornucopia, the table set on four canted square legs with ebony stringing, tapering and circular from the knee with gilt bronze foliate mounts, the legs set on gilt feet with foliate decoration. One escutcheon replaced.
