Research:
Of mahogany, boxwood, ebony, brass inlay, and equine teeth. The rectangular top with chamfered corners inlaid with equine teeth and infill of geometric pattern, within a conforming brass Greek key border. The plain frieze with carved leaf decoration at the four corners. The whole raised on a turned baluster stem with lotus leaf carving resting on a gadrooned collar, the quatreform plinth raised on four downswept feet each applied with carved leaf decoration to the top and terminating in a brass leonine capped foot on castors. Minor restorations.

The present table belongs to the exceptionally rare practice in England of using equine teeth in furniture and architectural decoration.
