    A fine Gustav III neoclassical painted side table

    Stockholm. Circa 1775.

    Measurements

    Height: 30" (76 cm); Width: 28" (71 cm); Depth: 16 1/2" (42cm).

    Research:
    With original grey painted decoration and original faux marble painted top.  The painted top with ogee molded edge rests upon a frieze applied with a continuous carved guilloche motif and flanked by fluted corner posts.  The whole raised on four slender fluted square tapering legs.
