Of giltwood, silver gilt and green and red painted decoration. The high shaped cresting set with a carved and gilded depiction of the flags of the Regency of Tripoli and including cannons, cannonballs, cornucopiae and paired rampant lions. The rectangular plate flanked by pierced ribbon pilasters topped by carved Corinthian capitals. The shaped apron with paired voluted brackets centered by a circular carved wreath. Flanking the apron are paired carved “C” scroll “legs.” Nearly all original condition (small crack to central plate). The second mirror retaining nearly all original gilding and silver gilt but re-toned and painted in places to match surface of first. The central plate replaced with photo paper backing to approximate the first mirror. Some small border glasses replaced in one mirror. One old approximately 4″ crack on tight bottom corner of one mirror.
