Research
Of mahogany with gilt brass mounts. The octagonal top with molded and crossbanded edge is set with a finely tooled black leather inset. To the base is an alternating arrangement of doors and banks of four drawers set with old but later gilt brass circular leonine drop handles. Each framed door is with a rectangular molding enclosing a panel and opens to reveal a triangular space with single shelf. The whole raised on a plain plinth the molded upper edge.
