Research
Of mahogany. The rectangular top with crossbanded edge above a plain frieze, raised on eight tapering square fluted column legs on block feet. Minor repairs appropriate to age and use.

The sideboard or serving table form with tapered legs, usually six or eight in number, had evolved as a signature element of Adamesque design, intended for a silver plate garniture and the presentation of food and wine, with the paired legs providing a space to feature a complementary wine-bottle cistern.
