The original rectangular rouge royale marble top with eared corners above three panelled drawers, the upper drawer dummied as three short drawers, the flanking panels mounted with gilt bronze handles, the lower drawers mounted with conforming handles, the panelled drawers filled with herringbone parquetry, the sides panelled, the four corners fitted with protruding Tuscan columns, each column with an entasis to the shaft and raised on a square plinth, the whole raised on four turned legs.
