9370 AN INTERESTING PAIR OF “BOMBAY SECESSIONIST” INLAID PALMWOOD CENTER TABLES Probably Bombay. Circa 1900.   Measurements: Height: 27 3/4″ (70.5cm); Width: 16 1/2″ (42cm).



Research

Of palmwood. Each hinged top of equilateral triangular form, the centre panel inlaid with ebony and bone in the form of a triangle centred by a star motif, the whole bordered by an inlaid arrow design, the top, lifting to reveal a shallow tray, above a plain frieze raised on three square legs joined by stretchers, the sides filled by three slats.
