Research

Of mahogany. The broken pediment edged with architectural moulding centred with a reeded vase above a plain frieze. The upper section with two doors, flanked by fluted Corinthian columns, opening to reveal a single shelf above a central inlaid door surmounted by a swan-necked pediment, above a single drawer and flanked by two columns of six block fronted drawers, each with circular brass ring handles. The lower section, consisting  of two long drawers, two short drawers, and a secretaire. The secretaire opening to form a writing flap and enclosing a fitted interior with eight drawers, eight letter boxes and centred by an opening door with shaped and turned surface. The whole on a moulded plinth raised on four ogee feet. Restored.
