Of mahogany and satin birch with ebonised moldings, the circular top, inlaid as a chess board, divides to form two retracted semicircular parts one fitted for writing and vanity the other for sewing. The frieze set with a series of false drawers each centered by a turned bone knob. The waisted lower part set with six recessed panels each of which functions as a concealed door. The whole raised on a circular plinth base and raised on castors.
